The company specializes in cotton, melange, and blended dyed yarn along with innovative offerings like slub yarn, mélange yarn, and gassed mercerized yarns. WTIL also produces knitted fabrics of various blends and invests in hydropower generation for sustainable operations.
The company operates a manufacturing unit in Solan, with an installed capacity of 1.10 lakh spindles, yarn dyeing capacity of 30 MT per day (set to expand to 31.5 MT by Q3FY24), and knitting capacity of 8 MT per day. It serves over 250+ international customers across 50 countries and 600+ domestic clients, including major global brands like Ralph Lauren, GAP, Tommy Hilfiger, H&M, and Walmart.
In FY23, WTIL generated 84% of revenue from yarn sales, with a geographical split of 46% exports and 54% domestic sales. The company also completed modernization projects at its Baddi unit costing ₹51.78 crore.
WTIL has a branch office in Poland to cater to the Central European textile market, further strengthening its global footprint. Despite some SEBI restrictions on directors in 2021, WTIL continues to focus on product innovation and capacity enhancement.
